Born in Port-au-Prince, on October 16,1938, Ernst Louizor ,
received his primary education at the National School Smith
and pursued his secondary studies at College Toussaint
In his early childhood, he used to express himself by
sketching black lines
roughly on the walls with charcoal or white
ones with quicklime
or fragments of chalk found by chance at hand.
The rough drawings he created
were responding to his independent
character which normally leads him to an artistic career.
In 1951, he registered himself at the Centre d'Art where he
some art courses under the supervision of the well known
artist Wilmino Domond.
But, he did not stay there too long. After
the transition period,
he went to the Academy of Fine Arts recently
created and studies there drawing,
composition and perspective with
the artist Geo Remponneau.
From Velasquez, he learned the
spectacular organization of space and the richness
of his grey
hoes. Delacroix taught him the nobleness
of the posture and his
special touch that faces time.
His first exhibit was a great success for all visitors. His
works presented at the
ESSO Exhibition were applauded by the public
with great enthusiasm.
Incontestably, Ernst Louizor reveals himself as a poet of the

draws his inspirations
from their scenes full of freshness. His art
prestigious collections among those of a Matisse and
Endowed with a prodigious memory, helped by an astonishing
keenness of vision,
Ernst Louizor is worth to be noticed by his
remarkable performance and his personal touch.
Louizor,with his heavy palate knife, is among one of the best
impressionists in the Carribean.
He has been exhibited in Europe in
the U.S. His art works are on
permanent exhibition at Expressions Art Gallery
, his principal collectors.
