In July 1991, Habib and Khatia Jiha, a young local couple, transformed their passion for art into a thriving enterprise by founding Expressions Galerie d’Art in Pétion-Ville. Despite the challenges of political instability, the gallery has flourished over the years, earning a reputation as one of the most esteemed and highly recommended sources for Haitian art.
