Jacques Geslin
Biography
Born in 1954 in Jacmel, Geslin began to paint in 1969. He studied at the School of Fine arts in Port-au-Prince
under the tutelage of Jean-Rene Jerome, Emilcar Simil, and Raoul Dupoux.
He also learned sculpture techniques with Gaston Hermantinches
Geslin paints birds and domestic animals in a jungle environment, He paints with a respect
for the delicacy of the vegetation and his canvases have originality surpassing that of nature.
His canvases are Haitian forests drawn from his own imagination.
He has exhibited in the United States, the Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadaloupe, France and Japan.
